My Shining Star

The moon shines upon your empty side of the bed
And all of the words
We left unsaid
The silence in the room is feeling heavy tonight
I close my eyes and
I wish for your light
Your picture on the table is all that i
Can see
Reminding me of how things used to be
You are my shining star.
No matter where you are, through every dark and stormy night, you always guide me with your light.
You are my shining star, never too far away
I can still feel your warmth
In the cold winter air
And sometimes
I look up and hope you're
Standing there
The miles between us are making me feel
So alone
But in my dreams, you are coming back home
Heat.
Heat.
I will wait for you my love until the end of time
Knowing in my heart that you will always
Be mine
No distance could ever make this feeling
Fade away
I miss you more than any words can ever say
You are my shining star.
No matter where you are, through every dark and stormy night, you always guide me with your light.
You are my shining star, never too far away
Good night, my star
Always in my heart
